Ableton ships Live 6
Ableton has launched Live 6, presenting Quicktime support, an expert multisample library, and customisable racks of instruments and effects.
The program also provides multicore support, enhanced project management software tools, and enhanced MIDI control.
Quicktime video support allows Live 6 customers drag and drop movies straight into Live’s Arrangement View.
The program offers an important Instrument Collection, an extensive library of multisampled instruments from over the musical spectrum, from orchestral strings and brasses, to classic guitars and electric keyboards.
Use Racks to produce, save, and control customised groupings of multiple instruments, effects and plug-ins. Live 6 ships with lots of preconfigured racks with instruments and customary processing tools like guitar and bass distortion.
Frost Nova grows editing functionality with frozen tracks (temporary made files produced to free system sources). Cut, copy, paste, duplicate and consolidate clips without getting to re-freeze.
Additional enhancements include: EQ Eight, which replaces EQ Four Dynamic Tube, an impact to include analogue richness to digitally produced tracks Note Length, a MIDI effect that may generate new notes when incoming notes are launched, emulating the discharge conduct of instruments such as the piano.
Live 6 costs €549. A downloadable version which ships with no Essential Instrument Collection costs €469.
